People vaccinated in Europe or the US will no longer need to isolate when they arrive in England from an amber country.

The rule will be introduced on 2 August. France is still exception however.

How are the rules changing?
Currently, fully vaccinated people entering the UK from an amber country can avoid isolation, as long as they were vaccinated in the UK.

From 2 August at 04:00 BST, the exemption will also apply to people arriving in England who were vaccinated in the US or most European countries.

This includes members of the EU, the European Free Trade Association and the smaller states of Andorra, Monaco and Vatican City.

Other rules will still apply: a pre-travel test and a PCR test within two days of arriving in the England.
